Grandma and Grandpa Come For a Visit

Daddy was in San Diego this week for work so Grandma and Grandpa came to help out. Every morning, bright and early, Cate and Grandpa played with Play Doh.




We went shopping at the mall. Seth is waiting patiently to get in the car.


Our first stop was Build-A-Bear. Cate was a little overwhelmed with all the choices for making a bear or a bunny which is what she chose to make. She named it Bunny. I think her favorite part was the stuffing machine. Until she caught on at the end that you could buy Bunny lots of clothes and accessories!



Before Cate picked out Bunny's clothes, she had to give her a bath.


Picking out bows for her ears. So many color choices!


And we are off to go shopping!


Next stop was shopping for a "pretty dress". That is pretty much all Cate will wear these days.


And finally it was time for Chick-fil-A and ice cream!


Cate then ate her way through the rest of the visit.




And Seth did a lot of sleeping!

2 Months!

Well, Seth is actually 2 1/2 months now! At his 2 month doctor's appointment he weighed in at 13 pounds 12 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches long.


This past month, Seth started smiling.


He also began sleeping in his crib and watching his mobile. Cate enjoys watching it with him.



We spent time with Omi and Zayde. And Aunt Suellen, Uncle Boris, and cousin Matthew came for a visit.

One Month!

Seth turned one month old on February 17! Here are some pics from his first month.





Napping with Daddy is a must.......now if Mommy could just get a nap :).


Cate is a great big sister! She asks many times throughout the day "What is my Seth doing?" and wants to hold him all the time. When he starts crying, she will say things to him that she has heard Mommy and Daddy say. Or she will sing to him. Lately her song of choice has been her version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb".

Merry Christmas!

We had a quiet but nice Christmas this year. Cate was very much into decorating the tree and had definite opinions as to where the decorations should go.




Omi and Zayde came over Christmas Eve for Chinese food. Cate got to open two gifts - a book from Mommy and Daddy and the traditional pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa.



Although Mommy's family was in NY this year (they are coming down in few weeks for the baby) it was a lot of fun having a two year old on Christmas morning! We spent the morning unwrapping gifts, ate lots of cookies and candy, and watched movies all day.

Happy Hanukkah!

Hanukkah was at the beginning of this month. It was a very busy first part of the month and Daddy was traveling so we had a shortened celebration. But Cate loved the candles - both the real ones and getting to light her own! And of course there were some presents...

Cate Turns Two.....Three Times!

Cate turned 2 on December 11!
And she celebrated this year with three parties.

One when we went to visit Mommy's family in NY.

Helping Aunt Kristi and Aunt Kelli decorate her cupcakes.

Then again on her actual birthday with Mommy and Daddy.

One of her favorite gifts - a Dora doll.

And finally last weekend with Daddy's family.
